(500) Days of Summer by Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber

I recently re-watched (500) Days of Summer, and found the official web copy of the screenplay. As a film told out of chronological order, (500) Days of Summer‘s a screenplay worth-reading to understand storytelling from an externalised perspective. In (500) Days of Summer, the audience is updated in which of the (500) days our protagonist, Tom Hansen, is experiencing. The way this is indicated on the page is also a very unique formatting style, as is the famous “Expectations/Reality” scene, in-which two possible versions of the same series of events play-out next to each other in boxes.
