Whatever it is, Academy Awards awarded it Best Original Screenplay, Chicago Film Critics Association nominated it for Best Screenplay, Golden Globe Award awarded it Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, Literary Award awarded it Screenplay and Writers Guild of America Award awarded it Best Screenplay and Best Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.     1. Personally, I’m with the former opinion: they were only pursued because they killed a man. But he was a rapist, so they were totally justified. It’s a tale of tragedy and injustice, and feminism is the core of that.
